Drácula, la maldición del Vampiro

The crowdfunding campaign to publish the Spanish translation of Dracula: Curse of the Vampire is well underway and has already surpassed its funding goal.

Two Stretch Goals have been unlocked so far, to produce some 'blood'-filled dice and a deck of foil playing cards.

If you are a Spanish language speaker, or a hardcore collector of ACE Gamebooks, you can pledge your support to the project here.

Gamebook Friday: The Tides of Innsmouth

The Tides of Innsmouth is now available for pre-order and will be published by Aconyte Books on 3 June 2025.

Strange and mysterious sightings send Arkham Investigators to explore the decrepit town of Innsmouth where horrors beneath the sea have risen to consume the world in this new action-adventure gamebook set in the popular world of Arkham Horror.

Welcome, Investigator! Innsmouth is awash with sightings of a mysterious sunken pirate junk near the treacherous Devil Reef. Those rumors are an irresistible lure, drawing the Investigators of Arkham to the fog-laden Massachusetts town. But the thrill of discovery quickly wanes when you are faced with hostile locals, a missing marine archaeologist, and a family curse with tendrils that haunt your waking days. Solve the riddles, overcome tests, and wish for luck as you navigate the rotten streets of the decrepit town and beyond to save the world as you know it. However… choose wisely, Investigator, for betrayal lurks around every corner and the path you choose might awaken horrors from beneath the sea to sink us all.

See Arkham in a different light as your choices change the story in the all-new Investigators Gamebooks.

My second Arkham Horror Investigators Gamebook is now available on NetGalley, if you are a registered reviewer. And it already has one review:

The book hits all the right notes, the smells, the rot, the people, the darkness. This is the third Gamebook I have read by Jonathan Green, and I really enjoy how he sets up both the adventures, and has the writing chops to back it up. Highly recommended both for the tale, and the gameplay.

Hope for Skye

Throughout May, you can download any ACE Gamebook or ACE Gamebooks Roleplay core book and supplement from DriveThruRPG.com for just £5 per PDF.

All profits from sales on DriveThruRPG.com during May will go to help fund an autism assistance dog for 16-year-old Skye.

🐾 HELP SKYE GET HER AUTISM ASSISTANCE DOG 🐾

My friends Jeremy and Rebecca really need your help. Their 16-year-old daughter Skye has recently received an autism diagnosis, and an assistance dog could transform her life - giving her independence, reducing anxiety, and helping her return to education.

They have secured her place on the Autism Assistance Dog Programme (at a cost of several thousand pounds!) but they now need to raise £10,995 for the training stage. Every share and donation brings Skye closer to her life-changing companion.

🐾 WHAT MAKES AN AUTISM ASSISTANCE DOG SO SPECIAL? 🐾

These aren't ordinary pets or even typical therapy dogs:
Specialised training - These dogs receive extensive training specifically for autistic individuals.
Legal public access rights - They can accompany Skye everywhere - into shops, colleges, cafes, and all public places.
Life-changing interventions - They're trained to recognise signs of distress and provide immediate help by performing deep pressure therapy during anxiety attacks, disrupting self-harming behaviours, creating a physical barrier in overwhelming situations, and providing stability and routine in daily life.

🐾 HOW YOU CAN HELP 🐾

Donate today through this secure JustGiving page.
Share this campaign with your networks.
Organise a fundraiser, such as a bake sale, sponsored event, etc.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they withdraw funds directly.

If you can do nothing else, please share this blog post and the Justgiving page with all your contacts. If you were in Jeremy and Becky's position, wouldn't you do all you could to help your daughter?

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any help you can offer.

Happy Birthday, Mr Shakespeare!

It is one year to the day since Shakespeare Vs. Cthulhu: What Dreams May Come funded on Kickstarter, but there's still time to place a Late Pledge - but only just!

I am making a few final tweaks to the manuscript, ready to start proofreading and renumbering next week. In the meantime, illustrator Heraldo Mussolini is working on producing the artwork for the book. Here are a couple of his finished illustrations.

"O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?"

"Something is rotten in the state of Denmark."

Happy Birthday, Mr Shakespeare!

Gamebook Friday: Drácula, la maldición del vampiro

I realise it's been four weeks since I last posted on here, so apologies for the radio silence. Part of the problem is that I've been busy, but also managed to have a brief holiday. But another part of the problem is that while I've been busy working on gamebook projects, I've either not any significant news to pass on, or I'm sitting on significant news that I can't talk about yet.

However, there is one piece of news that I can now share, and that is... Dracula: Curse of the Vampire is coming to Spain, courtesy of Celaeno Books.

Celaeno Books has now announced the Verkami crowdfunding campaign that will fund production of the book, along with a German gamebook called 1888, Who is Jack the Ripper, by M H Steinmetz, and originally published by my German publisher Mantikore-Verlag.

To find out more about this gruesome gothic twosome, click this link.

Another piece of news I can share is that Raven Distribution announced that they will be publishing the Italian language edition of my first Arkham Horror Investigators Gamebook The Darkness Over Arkham during PLAY Bologna 2025.

Gamebook Friday: AireCon 2025

This weekend, I am attending AireCon in Harrogate, from Friday 14th March - Sunday 16th March 2025.

You will find ACE Gamebooks at Booth A11 in Hall M, sandwiched between Mantic and Red Mug Crafts.

If will have copies of all my ACE Gamebooks with me - seeing as how 2025 is the 10th Anniversary of the publication of the first book in the series, Alice's Nightmare in Wonderland - and all three ACE Gamebooks Roleplay RPGs.

If you're attending AireCon over the weekend, do stop by Booth A11 and say hello, and maybe pick up a book as well.
